Second narrative move: drain its secrets (metagame, step out your beat)!
The second narrative move of the Reds Manifesto (the pamphlet for characters, the game rules for players).
THE DESIGN
This narrative move is also inspired on the works of El Lissitzky. However, in contrast with the first move (beat the plot!), here the design stands totally new. Its allure for abstract, yet direct, symbollism preveails. A sailor's telescope emerge from the left, but lines framing a message also spot another posibility; it is a speaker, claiming out loud to drain the secrets of the plot. It is what you (the player and the character) are supossed to do after all, to demand questions, to unveil what the Storyeller wants to keep on behind a veil of words (represented by a white circle, in an ondulating black field). Red pipes drain deep down in there, and the details emerge to the gaze and the voice of the Reds, who can discuss them, as equal, in... detail, accelerating metagaming, which in here is not undesireable, but encouraging to not only fit on the most interesting choices on the narrative agency of the player, but mainly to subvert the plot established by the Whites.

When the player or the character asks for information to subvert the narrative course. When this move is triggered, the player says “We will see what comes of this.”, and roll 2d10*.
OUTCOMES
Strong hit: add 1 black ink and discuss 1 detail. Weak hit: add 1 black ink or discuss 1 detail. Miss: add 1 black ink, and the Storyteller makes a move.
METAGAME AS FUEL
When missing four (4) times to drain of the plot, choose one (1) between:
- DRAIN MORE INK
To drink deep by cups.
From now on, always add +1 black ink on a hit when solving this move.
- DRAIN MORE DETAILS
To step the metagame up.
From now on, you can always discuss +1 detail after for information.
DRINK GENTLE, NOT SUBTLE
Sheets of ink under the White’s belly. Who is calling those droplets of spittle pearls? Drink them gentle, not subtle. Those details are too glum. On march! Is there a knowledge diviner than ours?
* There is no typo here, this move comes at no cost. Only those who have burnt their boats are true characters. You can’t just stroll on, the Future requires a leap!
